KINGSTAR version 4.0 has been architected to allow developers to select only the functionality they need for the scope of their project and to quickly assemble the system by relying on its plug-and-play capability.

- Runtime Core Options: up to 2, 3 or 7 cores
- High Speed Timer option for cycle time below 1ms
